Avery Johnstone is a sustainability professional, intrapreneur, and activist.
Working at the intersection of climate, gender, and sustainable finance, Avery advises organizations and governments on the just transition, and the integration of human rights into climate adaptation and mitigation efforts.
Avery is a committed advocate for youth engagement in the climate movement, particularly in the private sector, and has created and led award-winning youth engagement programmes for international organizations, including Generation Climate for The New York Times, Leaders 2050 for KPMG, and The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Young Professionals Programme.
Avery has been named a Rising Star in Consulting by We Are The City in 2021, has moderated panels for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Presidency, The New York Times, and The Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, and has been quoted in ESG News, The Financial Times, and more. Avery will also begin pursuing her Master’s of Climate, Urban, and Environmental Policy at the University of Cambridge in the Autumn of 2025.
